Nottingham Trans Resources
- Notts Trans Hub Nottingham's main trans charity. They have a Facebook group and Discord server.
- Genderphoria - Group for Nottingham-based trans youth, in collaboration with Notts Trans Hub. Contact Trans Hub for more info.
- Nottingham Center For Transgender Health Gender Identity Clinic serving Nottingham and surrounding areas. Has info on locally available treatments, services, and support groups.
- Nottingham Against Transphobia (Facebook) Activist group who organise protests in response to transphobia.
- Notts Trans Collective (Instagram) Trans students society based at University of Nottingham, but events open to all.
- The Health Shop Trans-friendly sexual health clinic who are sensitive to people who struggle to access healthcare through typical pathways.
- Nottingham Women's Center Has had an official trans-inclusive policy since 1998, but have records of trans people accessing the service going back long before this date.
- Notts Pastel Project (Instagram) Organisation seeking to establish Nottingham as the UK's first Trans Sanctuary City.
General Resources
- Gender Construction Kit UK-centric guide on how to do pretty much anything trans related, like changing your name, using makeup, migrating NHS records, buying clothes, etc. as well as links to lots of support groups and places to get safe medical advice.
- TMSA-UK UK-based private peer support Facebook group for transmasculine people. Has been going for 13 years and is an incredible resource.
- Scinguistics A blog, encyclopedia, lesson archive and online community centrered around trans voice. also has lots of resources of voice training for other contexts like singing and voice acting.
- Pronouns Dressing Room A simple web app that lets you put a name and a set of pronouns in, and inserts them into a block of text from a public-domain story, so you can see them in context.
- Gendered Intelligence Trans-led charity aiming to increase understanding of gender diversity and improve the lives of trans people. Provide training and consultancy on supporting trans people in the workplace, and work with the media to influence legislation.
- TransActual CIC aiming to challenge misinformation about trans people in the UK media, and amplify trans voices. Also provide training and consultancy.
